Show Users

Every person who works on a show has a show role, which controls what they can see and edit inside that show. You can invite new collaborators, change roles, and assign people to specific dances from the show’s Users page.

Opening the Users page

Open a show and click Usersfrom the show’s top navigation. You’ll see everyone with access to this show, their role, and (for assignment-based roles) which dances they’re assigned to.

If you don’t see the Users page or the invite button, your role doesn’t include user management. Only roles with “Manage users” in the table below can invite or remove collaborators.

Inviting someone

On the Users page, click Invite userand enter the person’s email address. Pick the role they should have, and optionally assign them to specific dances. They’ll get an email with a link to accept and sign in.

Note

Show users sign in with Google using the email the invite was sent to. If their Google account uses a different email, re-send the invite to the address they actually use.

Show roles

Show roles are scoped to a single show — someone can be a Viewer on one show and an Editor on another. Pick the least powerful role that lets each person do their job.

Assignment-based roles

Any role with “Assigned” in the name only works once you give the person specific dances to work on. Without assignments they won’t see anything they can edit.

To assign dances, open the show’s dance list, click the person-plus icon on a dance row, and toggle users on or off. See Dances for more on assignments.

Changing a role

On the Users page, click the role dropdown next to a user and pick a new role. The change takes effect immediately.

Removing a user

Click the remove button on the right of a user’s row to revoke their access to the show. They’ll lose access immediately but any cues they’ve written stay with the show.

Tip

For dance recitals, Assigned Editorworks great for choreographers — they can see the full dance list for context but only edit the dances assigned to them.
