Dances
A dance is a single cue sheet — one number, one song, one piece. The show page lists every dance in the production, and clicking a dance opens its cue table.
Adding a dance
Open the show and click Add Dance at the top of the dance list. Enter a name (up to 200 characters) and the dance is added to the bottom of the list. You can drag it into place using the grip handle on the left.
If you don’t see an Add Dance button, your show role doesn’t include dance management — see Show Users.
The dance row
Each row in the dance list shows, from left to right:
- Drag handle — reorder dances by dragging
- Master cue — a short identifier (up to 6 characters) for the dance
- Status pill — click to advance the status
- Dance name — click to open the cue table
- Attribute badges — colored tags set by admins
- Assigned users — the stack of avatars for anyone assigned to this dance
- Action buttons — settings, assignment, and delete (if allowed)
Dance statuses
Click the status pill on a dance row to cycle through the workflow. Statuses are a quick, color-coded way to track progress across the whole show.
| Status | Color | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| None | Gray | No status yet |
| Assigned | Red | Someone has been assigned to write the cues |
| In Progress | Yellow | Cues are actively being written |
| Complete | Green | The dance is finalized and ready for the show |
Master cue
A master cue is a short identifier (up to 6 characters) that uniquely identifies a dance inside the show — something like A1, FINALE, or OPEN. Master cues must be unique within a show.
Set the master cue from the dance’s settings dialog (the gear icon on each row).
Reordering dances
Drag the grip handle on the left of any dance row to move it. The new order is saved automatically. Only users with dance editing permissions can reorder.
Dance assignments
Assigned users are the people responsible for a particular dance. If your show role is assignment-based, you’ll only see or edit the dances you’ve been assigned to. Users with full access can still see everything.
To manage assignments, click the person-plus icon on a dance row and toggle users on or off. See Show Users for which roles need assignments.
Opening a dance
Clicking a dance name opens its cue table— the spreadsheet-style view where you actually write the cues.
Tip
Use the status workflow (None → Assigned → In Progress → Complete) to see at a glance where every dance stands. It’s the fastest way to answer “what’s left to do?”
